This growing coal producer is seeking to appoint a highly proactive and Degree qualified Mechanical Engineer to work directly with the Engineering Management team. The primary focus of this role is to provide technical support within the maintenance department; ultimately ensuring maximum safety, uptime and profitability. The role requires a confident, self motivated engineer who is looking to build on their vocational training whilst working for a QLD coal producer or contractor. With a high level of interpersonal skill, you will thrive on the opportunity to work on a variety of projects across Engineering and Maintenance including; - Assisting in development of shutdown plans.
- Assisting in development of long term maintenance plans.
- Predictive maintenance and reliability management initiatives.
- Preparation of Cost Benefit Analysis for CAPEX projects.
- Risk assessments, life cycle costing and best practice evaluation.
As a dynamic engineer who is committed to their career in the Queensland coal industry, other attributes that will define the ideal candidate are; - Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Proficient in all Microsoft Office tools including MS Project.
- Knowledge and use of SAP as maintenance planning tool.
- Demonstrated knowledge/exposure to heavy mobile equipment maintenance.
- Experience in working out Cost Benefit Analysis.
- Experience in working out Net Present Values.
- High level written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of QLD Coal Mining Health & Safety Act & Regulations.
