Paxus is currently seeking an experienced Business Analyst for an initial contract to June 2020 with extension options based in Canberra. As a business analyst you will have a focus on system analysis or business process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the analysis activities, including identifying and documenting requirements, managing issues and facilitating workshops with user groups
• Elicit, represent, validate and prioritise business, user and system requirements with input from requirements
• Develop close working relationships with senior systems users, participating staff and external suppliers
• Working with business areas across the department, capture document, analyse and optimise business processes focusing on opportunities

About you:

• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build productive working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders
• Experience in leading analysis and design of ICT infrastructure and applications, including experience in writing project initiation material, business requirements and system specifications or experience in business process improvement and/or the application of human centred design principles across a range of diverse business areas
• Experience driving business analysis activities in Agile public sector projects
• Experience using Lean Six Sigma methodology for the mapping and analysis of existing processes
